Alex Salgado was born and raised in Odessa, Texas, and is a graduate of Texas Tech University and Thurgood Marshall School of Law. While in law school, Alex interned with the Harris County District Attorney's office and was a student attorney with the Earl Carl Institute for Legal and Social Policy at Thurgood Marshall.
Alex began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in nearby Walker County before finishing up his career as an ADA in neighboring Fort Bend County. He has experience prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases including misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony.
Alex was a prosecutor for 9 years before being elected Judge of Harris County Criminal Court at Law #1.
In his free time, Alex enjoys playing golf, watching the Astros, Texans, Texas Tech football and basketball, and trying the many different restaurants the Houston area has to offer.
Alex and his wife reside in Houston.
